Algebra 2

INFORMATION SHEET

MRS. PARSONS

                             

MATERIALS REQUESTED FOR CLASS EACH DAY:

1.      A 3-ring notebook with loose leaf notebook paper for lesson notes, assignments, and labs.  All your OTL’s will be kept in this notebook in numerical order.

            2.  A pencil and eraser to use for all your work.  Do not use a pen!

            3.  A red pen for correcting others’ assignments.

            4.  Textbook.

            5.  I recommend purchasing a TI-83 or TI-83+ graphing calculator.                                                    

                 TI-82’s or -83’s, however, are available for use.       

               

CLASSROOM GUIDELINES:

            1.  Be seated at your desk, quiet, and ready to start when the tardy bell rings.

            2.  Sharpen your pencil before the tardy bell rings.

            3.  Put absence slips on my desk before the tardy bell rings.

            4.  Please remain seated while the lesson is underway. 

              5.  Necessity passes only will be allowed.  If it is not a necessity, don’t ask !

                 Your Agenda is the only acceptable pass.

            6.  Mutual respect will be observed at all times, and only decent, encouraging  language and behavior will be used by everyone.

 

ASSIGNMENT POLICY:

            1.  Expect daily assignments.  I expect you to bring it completed to the next class session.  We will exchange papers and correct  these assignments at the beginning of class.  They will be graded on a daily basis.

            2.  Assignment heading:  NAME

                                                  OTL #

                                                  TITLE of assignment (if not already preprinted)

                                                  Assigned Problem Numbers (if applicable)     

             3.  If you are absent it is your responsibility to ask for, complete, and turn in the missed assignment.

 

GRADING POLICY:  You are responsible for recording your own grades on the back of this sheet.  Points will accumulate from assignments, quizzes, labs, and tests.    Your % grade at any time can be calculated by dividing “Total Pts. Rec’d” by “Total  Pts. Possible.”
